Letter A activities

Hannah and I have been really enjoying are letter A and Apple activities over the last week.  Even though we are not quite done, I thought I would share some of the things that we have be doing.

She  put together an apple puzzle many times.  This from Tot School Printables (here).
We did many of the activities here and Hannah really liked them.

We counted apples.

Hannah loved doing the apple cookie cutter play dough.

She also gets her face right in there.

Made an apple core craft, the seeds are made with her finger prints and black paint.

She also did some do-a-dot art.

We have a couple more things left to do then we will move on to the letter B.

Wordless Wednesday

For Hannah

Today, Hannah turned two.  Yeah. I cannot believe it.  I was going to tell you 24 things about Hannah for her 24 months but instead I am going to do 12 dreams from her mother’s heart. In no particular order:

1.     That she would know how much her father and I love and cherish her every day.

2.     That she would know God, His love, his saving grace, and his plan for her life, and to choose to make it her own.

3.     That she would have Holy work.  Work that fills her with passion.  Work that she loves. (Like both her parents)

4.     That she would see know the joy that comes from reading and learning.  The joy that comes with sharing it with someone else.

5.     That Hannah and Ethan (and future siblings) would know what means to love each other with a brotherly/sisterly love far deeper than most. 

6.     That she would have the freedom to develope her talents and skills and to use them to bless others.

7.     To make friends that edify and lift her up and to do likewise.

8.     That she would play outside, explore nature, and know the God who created it.

9.     To hear beautiful music, sing, and worship God too.

10.   That she would be sensitive and compassionate to the needs of others above her own needs and desires.

11. That no matter what struggle or difficulty may come up that she will always stay fixed on the cross.

12. That she would marry a man as wonderful as her father that he too would know and love God.  They could have a daughter as remarkable.

An Explanation Given

A few of my Favorite Things!

Two of my favorite things are marriage and reading.  I have been married almost 7 years to Andrew.  Actually, 7 years next month and we are going away for a week to celebrate, whoot whoot!  I have been reading voraciously much longer. I love reading.  Everything!  Right now I am reading "Under the Maui Moon", by Robin Jones Gunn.  I know it sounds like trashy romance novel.  But its not.  Its story about a women who goes to Maui after losing her job.   I absolutely loved a line in her book about marriage.  This is a paraphrase because its actually some dialogu.

Marriage is a covenant relationship. It's not just a promise you made to your spouse.  The promise your made to stay together was a promise you made to God as well.... And God dearly blesses those who keep their promises, even when their difficult.  He knows.  He hears.  He Cares.....And for those who cannot or will not stay, they is always grace.  Extravagant grace.....That too can be a deep blessing from God.

Have have been and continue to be deeply blessed by the covenant realtionship ship I have in marriage with Andrew.  I am so thankful.

Sometimes, Hannah like any other 2 year old says the funniest/cutest things.  At least her mother and father think so. Here are some of her latest:

Hannah: No Mama Stop, Dada's Song.

Mommy:  Ouch (grabbing my head because I banged it on the fireplace).

Hannah:  (She grabs Ethan and tries to pull him): Baby come, Kiss Mama

Hannah will be two in a couple of days.  I cannot believe she is almost two. I saw this really cute idea (here).  Hannah really enjoyed it, and it kept her busy long enough for me to clean up, empty the dishwasher, and make lunch. SUCCESS.  She played with it again after lunch too
