G-Gluing fun.

I had a rough evening.  Two screaming children who would not got to bed.  One who cried until he threw up the other cried until she gagged.  No I wasn't ignoring them.  Finally, I threw Ethan in with Hannah, and waited for my sanity to come back.  Nevertheless, Hannah and I decorated some capital G's today (at an earlier happier time) after her nap.  Super easy activity and Hannah enjoyed it which is the main thing.

First, Hannah glued the G

Then she added some polka dots and curly q's

She liked flattening the curly cues.

A finished masterpiece.

I'm still waiting.

Letter G Box

So after a week away, Hannah and I are ready to start on the letter G.  Here is our Letter G Box.

Inside: Giraffe, girl, goat, glue, golf ball, grapes, garlic, goggles, a green bead, letter G's,
a G bean bag, and pictures of gorilla and garage.
To kick off the week and conveniently the letter G, Hannah and I (as well as one of my two sisters) when and had lunch over at GG's (great grandma's) House.
GG serving carrot cake.

I'm sure what caused this expression.

Yummy cake.

I don't know if she was more excited about the cake or the tiny spoon.
I think this was one of my favorite parts of the afternoon.  My grandma brought out the barbies my mom had as a little girl, the ones my siblings and I also played with when we were little.  Now its Hannah's turn.
Trying to decided what Barbie should wear next.

She picked pajamas.

Got to love 60's barbie with her built in blue eye shadow.

Fun at the Lake.

Here are some pictures of our last full day at Grandma and Grandpa.  Yesterday we made our way home and the trip went well (although long).  Its good to be home but my poor kids are going through withdraw.  Have a look at the fun we had at the beach.

Looking down at the water.

It was so beautiful.

Ethan and Grandpa

Oh the feel of sand between the toes. (Hahahaha my sandal an makes me laugh)

She was so excited.

While Ethan spent most of the time at the playground, he did enjoy the beach for a little while.

Jumping into Daddy's arms.

Buried in the sand.

Okay so there is a very cute story to go with the picture below.  Ethan started coughing while eating his lunch and got quite a bit upset.  So I called him over and he sat in my lap.  As soon as Ethan was comfortable, Hannah started to cough (pretend coughing) and reached out so I would put her on my lap too.  This is the girl who such a Daddy's girl that it was a welcomed snuggle as she sat on my lap for the longest time.
Mommy favorite momment.

The boy who would not eat lunch decided the bucket looked appetizing.

Looking for the train.

At the playground.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the start of Letter G.
