We're Back

Finally, after what seems to have been a very long time, we are nearly all back to full health.  Andrew is still getting better, and the kids have interminable runny noses.  All in all, not bad.  Andrew and I had a lovely weekend recovering while my Mom and Dad kept the kids at their house.  It was so nice to rest and we even went and saw in a movie.

Here is a fun activity (unplanned) that the kids did this afternoon while lunch was being made.  It started out when I put our peg board and some elastics on the table for Hannah to use.  Hannah made triangles and other shapes for awhile until Ethan noticed and went to play too.  Ethan and Hannah sat side by side putting elastics on the board until they discovered a much more entertaining use for the elastics.  I love watching their play meander this way and that until the first activity is indistinguishable from the last.

Ethan would place the elastics on the chair post and then Hannah would take it off and put it on her chair.

This went on and on until thee chair posts were full and it was time for lunch.
