School Pictures
I couldn't resist, I love pictures of my kids. Here are their "school" pictures for the 2012-2013 school year.
Here are some of the funny ones that we took.
At first, Ethan would only let me take his picture sitting in a chair. So of course Hannah had to join him.
Here is Ethan's opinion of the photo. Kidding, although it does look like he doing looser fingers.
Chaos ensued quickly.

Closet Cleaning
I don't really "enjoy" cleaning (unless of course I'm stress cleaning, then I embrace it fully). I do however abhor clutter. It bugs, nags, and speaks to me from down the hall. So this morning I went through Ethan's closet and cleaned it out a little. There is a bin that we keep in their that has some of Andrew seminary stuff (don't worry Andrew I didn't get rid it). Surprisingly, I found some of my own things at the bottom, including a CD labeled; "Pictures of Hannah". I didn't recognize it (or the handwriting) and popped it into the computer. I found a CD full of pictures taken of Hannah right she was born by one of the BEST photographers I know (these were pictures she took when visiting, very casual). It has been so long since I've looked at these pictures. So I thought I would share some of the pictures of my sweet bundle of joy with you.
I included this last one in because still I can't believe how prominent her birth mark was when she was so little.
If you look carefully in this picture (taken on the weekend) its is barely noticeable.

Snails
Sometimes the most fun in the word is watching a snail cross the road, and then searching for the snails family members. My children are fascinated with snails (and slugs) right now.
Recently, Hannah and Ethan as well as one of their very good friends eagerly watched the poor snail in the center. Fortunately, all 3 of the kids were very good at not "bothering" him.
The were happy to find the the big snails tiny baby.
This sweet girl wanted to get out there too.
Hopefully, Hannah and Ethan can get together with their friends again soon and find some more snails.
Don't forget my giveaway!!

Z Week Review + ***GIVEAWAY***
This post is long in coming. I am very excited to be finished the entire alphabet. I am so thankful that I went at the speed I did even if it did take longer. When Hannah I started together, Ethan was so little and couldn't participate. When I was planning things out I didn't take into consideration how quickly Ethan would be involved. Including Ethan meant slowing down and spreading things out. But we did and now we're all done (and had a fantastic time in the process).
Here's a few of my favorite pictures from the very beginning:
She looks so little.
So messy.
Okay so back to the reason for being here the wrap-up for letter Z.
Letter Z
Playing with the Z Letter Box.
Matching Zoo animal shadows. (Source: 2 Teaching Mommies)
Hannah loved making her own Zoo with stickers (Source: Little Giraffes)
Ethan also happily colored and proudly pointed out his Zoo to everyone who came over.
We made zebra striped Zs. This was also a big hit and really simple to set up.
I love how Hannah's stripes fill up the Z but Ethan's go across(if you look above).
We had fun with the Zoo cages game. The kids both like hide and seek so this was right up their alley.
Ethan likes to cheat.
Now onto the fun part; the giveaway. I thought it would be fun to have a giveaway to celebrate our monumental completion of the alphabet. I have a extra copy of Audrey Penn's "The Kissing Hand" (apart from my own copy that I wrote in, and if your not sure what I am talking about check this post out). This is a great book and if your interested in having a copy of your own simply leave a comment in the comment section. In fact, leave a comment every day between now and the draw date for extra chances. I will pick a winner at random on August 16th 2012. Everyone worldwide welcome.
Good Luck!
