A Vacation Birthday

So I'm trying to get caught up on my holiday photos.  So here is what we did for Ethan's 4th birthday.  Mini Golf (actually the day before because the weather was slated to be nicer.  As it was we very nearly were plummeted by a thunder shower).

Hannah and Ethan really enjoyed this although their skill is questionable.  We very quickly decided not to keep score or play by any sort of rules.   We all had fun (except for Nathanael who was a teensy weensy grumpy).

Cuddling the grump monster while I watched everyone and took pictures.

Giving Ethan some tips.

A true pro.
Poor Andrew must not have done well here as it seem he is peering into the bushes in the background.

Look didn't I tell you Nathanael was grumpy.  Look at his scowl.

Course Ethan opened a couple of presents.  His favorite was his very own shaving kit.

Andrew's mom (who turned out to be a bit like Mary Poppins with her carpet bag) pulled out a birthday party from nowhere.

Complete with party hats.

Enjoying lunch skewers of Ethan's favorite foods.

Blowing out the candles.

Come on mom put the camera down and eat your cake.

I don't know maybe the cake was too sour.  :D

Sweet Baby Charlotte

Today I got to meet my brand new very beautiful niece.  My sister Teresa had baby Charlotte Jane this morning and she is breathtaking. Andrew and I took the kids up to meet her and they were super excited to see their new cousin.

Hannah and Ethan getting their first look at baby Charlotte.

Look at her sweet little face.  I got a chance to hold her and she is so little with lots of hair.

Nathanael got a very eager look at his cousin.  Our 2014 babies.

Hannah and Teresa.  It totally doesn't look she just gave birth to a baby.

One happy Daddy.

Beach Bums

Last week Andrew, the kids, and I had the wonderful privileged of spending a week in Kelowna on holidays.  We had a lot of fun and time to relax together as a family.  We were right on the beach so we had lots of fun playing in the sand throughout the week.  Andrew's mom even came up for a day at the beach with us.

Climbing the slide

Hannah discovered the joy of zipline riding too.

Of course Nathanael had lots of fun and attention too.

My sweet monkey was all smiles.

He even had a pretty decent nap on the beach towels.

Hannah and even had lots fun playing and building sand castles.

Building castles and being photo bombed by a seagull.
