Hi Knoll Park

This past weekend, we got a chance to go and take a walk at Hi Knoll Park in Langley.  It was so beautiful the pictures don't even do it a little justice.

Andrew and Nathanael.

.
This tree was so big and beautiful

Andrew managed to get Hannah up on the lower branch.  Ethan almost got up there but he was a little nervous.

Posing for me.

I love the golden hour.

My very favorite mountains.  I have an even better view here then my Mom and Dad do.

To excited for words.

Being silly on the bridge.

My Ethan

Daddy and Daugher

Climbing like a big kid.

I was there too.

With my blue eyed boy who good permitted me this picture.

The path was flooded out just on the other side of the bridge so that was as far as we could go.

Hannah:  This was the moon it was full last night,

My girl!  So pretty.

Up a tree looking for planes and birds.

Happy!!!!!

Checking on baby.

Ethan:  This is nighttime.

I love this picture.  So fast and wild.

Hannah took this picture of Nathanael and I.  I think it turned out perfect.  Must be a budding photographer.

I captioned these picture with Hannah and Ethan. So the each pick a picture and told me what to type.  Afterwards they dictated their opinions.  Maybe they should have their own blogs.

Did you guys like Hi Knoll Park?

Hannah:  I liked the park so much.  I wish we could stay forever.  I got hurt there but I am fine.

Ethan:  It was fun and I hope we can spend more time there,  We stayed there for a long time.  The
other path around the bridge was flooded so much.

Nathanael: Park.  Like.  Park.

Tub Time

Ellyana had her first bath in the the tummy tub.  She's too big for the sink but I wasn't sure how she would do.  She did great but I'm not sure how much she liked it.  Mostly she kept giving me these big questioning eyes.  As if to say "What is this and when will it be over?"

Next time I hope to get an actual smile out of her but this will do for now.

Overalls and Cuteness!!

This morning, I spent some alone time with Ellyana while Andrew was out at the grocery store with the other three kids.  She was in a super great mood so I took a few pictures of her cuteness. She has become so expressive recently.  I posted the first picture on Instagram but the rest of the pictures were CUTE so I thought I would share them all too.

My sassy girl!

Swoon, I love her.

There is always that super awkward picture with drugged out eyes.  This is it!!!

Yeah so happy!!

If you didn't think she could get any happier; she can!!!

Oh hands.  These are great.

So happy.

This was the calm before the store because moments later she flipped out. :D  Overall she is cuter than I can handle much like the overalls.  Forgive me I don't get enough sleep and humor suffers as a result.  hehehehehe

Sweet Eunice and the Chocolate Cookie

Ethan ate a heart shaped chocolate cookie from his class Valentine's Day Party.  That sentence alone makes me happy.  Ethan and Hannah both LOVED their class parties yesterday and all the valentines they brought home.  This is one of the reasons I really love how we homeschool.  The get the benefits of a tailored education with the fun class stuff too.  Anyway, I asked him who the cookie was from and he said it was from a girl named Eunice.  The following conversation ensued:

Me:  Who gave you the cookie?
E: I think Eunice did.
Me:  Is she nice?
E:She's a girl.
Me: But is she nice?
E:She's a girl.
Me:  I get that she is a girl. Is she nice?
E:  I don't know, I never talked to her before.
Me: Why not?
E: I don't talk to girls not my sister. (Not true but okay).
Me:  Why?
E: I might get embarrassed.
Me: Why would you get embarrassed to talk to Eunice?
E:Someone might see.
Me: See you talking???
E: No (exasperated because I am clearly not understanding.) embarrassed they might see me kiss her.
Me:  Why would you kiss her?  I said talk!
E: I wouldn't kiss her.  I only kiss my sisters.
Me: Good. (At this point Ethan left, obviously the conversation was over but I am left a little confused).

Gifts from My Children

I love rest time.  I always love rest time as the kids are all tucked in their rooms and my house is temporarily quiet.  This is a luxury.  A close second to the quiet lull mid afternoon are the gifts that Hannah and Ethan make in the afternoon.  This afternoon, Ethan created a treasure map for me to follow that ended with an X marking the spot with all the hearts that he made in the picture above.  Hannah made and framed the picture of Andrew, Ellyana and me.  I asked her to add everyone else so it would be a complete family picture but she is a temperamental artist and threw a fit at the idea.  Something about it destroying what she was going for in her art.   I am so thankful for their sweet and thoughtful gifts.
