Painting Pottery

Hannah and Ethan received an early Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa this year.  They got the opportunity to go and paint some pottery.  They LOVED it.  Andrew and I had a lot of fun too.  It was neat to watch the kids pick something and paint it (mostly) by themselves.

Ethan chose to paint a cross.  He painted it quite colorfully.  When we were getting the instructions we were told to paint out piece three times, drying it in between each layer with a blow dryer.  I had to remind Ethan many many times that each layer needed to be the same as the first layer.  Hehehehehe

Hannah chose 3 Christmas ornaments (a star, a snowman, and a gingerbread man).  She did very well all by herself.  I think she quite literally could have sat there all day and painted piece after piece.

Me helping Hannah print her name on the from of her star.

We go back next week to pick up our pieces.  Ethan was very sad when told him we needed to leave our pieces there and come back for them later.
