Preschool Week 14

Preschool Week 14

Bible: We read the chapter called "The Teeny Weenie ... True King" where Samuel anoints David.  We made a craft based on 1 Samuel 16:7 "The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."  The craft idea is from "When You Rise".
I drew 2 mirrors on a piece of paper.  Hannah and Ethan put a heart in one (what God looks at) and the other they drew a face (what people look at).

Reading: Christmas books!

Language Arts and Handwriting:  The Letter M

I love this picture of Hannah helping Ethan figure out how to make the letter M.

 (HWT)

Math:   More pattern work (although I'm a little confused at where my pictures of that went).  Hannah and Ethan practiced patterns using 2 attributes with there teddy bears (based on size and color) It's a good thing I write these things down.

Putting numbers in order from 0 to 10

Counting out counters for each number.

Art:   Hannah and Ethan made rockets.  This wasn't my plan but one afternoon Hannah and Ethan came and asked it they could make rockets out of toilet paper tubes.  So we did.  We followed the instructions here for the construction.

Painting up their rockets.

Later after they were dry, Hannah and Ethan added flames and a button window.

Just for Fun: Christmas Play dough
