Ordination Weekend

I know it's almost Friday but I really wanted to post a few pictures from last weekend.  Andrew's parents came out for a couple of days and we had a nice (but short) visit. It was a very special weekend as Andrew was Ordained on Sunday afternoon.  I  asked Andrew to write out the meaning of ordination for me (I knew he could do it much more concisely).  Here it is: To be ordained: Called to ministry by God, affirmed in ministry by the congregation, and tested in ministry by the denomination. To be ordained is to be set apart specifically as a pastor to serve and equip others in the ministries to which God has called them. It was such a blessing to be surrounded by so many of our church family, family members as well as friends.  The service and reception were amazing.  We are very thankful for everyone who was involved in making the day so wonderful.

Hannah and her new shoes waits for the service to start.

Ethan and Uncle.

Hannah and her Auntie Teresa.

Andrew and I with all the Pastors and Elders from our church.

Andrew gave a response after he was charged.
Afterwards, there was an amazing reception.  I am so thankful to everyone who helped organize, decorate, bake, and clean up at the end.
This is Hannah with one of her little girl friends.  They are so cute together.
After such a long day we were happy to sit at home and do nothing the rest of the afternoon and evening.  Happily some very good friends stopped by for a visit making the already great day, perfect. The next day, we all went to the park for a walk.  The day was beautifully sunny and only ever so slightly chilly.  Here are some of my favorite pictures:

I think this is my new favorite picture.
